From 1950 Thruxton has been used for motorsport and is one of the fastest
circuits in the BSB championship. This is a demanding circuit with long fast
straights, flowing corners and tight demanding and complex chicane sections.
Free practice started well then technical problems saw Cameron in the pits with
necessary work required prior to second free practice in the afternoon.
Qualifying on Saturday, putting in some good sector times and Cameron was in
7 th place in the standard class.

Saturday’s race and from the start Cameron was riding hard, determined to
make up some places and get a good result. Taking the flag in 5 th place.
Sunday’s race and again saw Cameron pushing hard and moving up the field,
however towards the latter stages of the race he began dropping back as a result
of his exhaust coming lose and finishing 9 th in the standard class but taking
some more championship points and retaining his 6 th place overall.

After the race Cameron said it was somewhat hot when the exhaust came lose
but I just kept going. Again thank you to my Dad for all the work he does on
the bike and taking me to race meetings, my family and everyone who supports
me.
